PPGE/UFAM FORMER GRADUATES: SELF-EVALUATION, PRODUCTION AND PROFESSIONAL DESTINATIONS (2012-2020)

ABSTRACT

This article takes to the analysis the professional insertion of former graduates of the Graduate Program in Education (PPGE) of the Universidade Federal do Amazonas (UFAM), in the period 2012-2020, in the context of a self-evaluation process. Through the literature review and the mapping of professional destinations (work with curriculum Lattes and survey), the text retraces the processes of graduate development in the region, its relationship with the pro-evaluation of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel, as well as the labor insertion of the former graduates of the PPGE/UFAM. The impacts of graduate studies for teacher training and research on basic and higher education stand out. Furthermore, there are challenges faced to train and insert masters and doctors in this latitude, among which the maintenance of the link with the former graduates and the publications of the results of their investigations. Self-evaluation, particularly with focusing on the follow-up of former graduates, therefore, allows us to reflect on the effects of the training processes developed by the program based on the results achieved by its former graduates.
